Why would I want to join a Masonic Lodge?

The answer is linked to what the lodge does. The main activities of the lodge are:

Charity: each lodge will probably support it's own charity requests as well as endorsing the Grand Lodge's contributions

Social welfare: Masonic lodges also help directly with orphanages in Japan, the homeless, victims of rape, eye banks, children's burns units and seeing eye dogs among other programmes

Moral education: we teach all our new members a code of living, that is above politics, religion, race and colour, but which respects them and doesn't try to replace them

Good start education for youth: Masons in Japan sponsor a Boy Scouts troop as well as having organizations for children too young to be Masons.

Fraternal support: meeting members of other lodges in a social setting is one of the most pleasurable parts of Masonry. In many cases we are able to help each other out by introducing someone to help us solve one of life's many problems. As Masons are all over the world, this gives us a truly international network.

Travelling: most of our members travel extensively, and they enjoy the benefits that being a Mason gives them. They visit other lodges around the world and meet 'friends they would otherwise never have met'.

If you think that this might interest you, why not contact us for a no commitment meeting and
visit one of our lodges in the centre of Tokyo, Yokohama and twenty other locations in Japan?
