Is Freemasonry in pace with the times?

Nowadays people are so busy that it is hard to develop close friendships like when we were at school or college.

Making real friendships is the number one reason men apply to become Masons.

Masons believe in the freedom of the individual, including religious freedom, and in the past this free way of thinking has lead to persecution. But now as much as ever we need to meet people of different race, colour and creed to know them for the ebrothersf they are rather than people would have you believe. Religion and politics can divide people, therefore we do not allow talk on these subjects in the lodge so we can concentrate on what we have in common with each other rather than our differences, to maintain a friendly environment.  Sharing a meal together is not only fun but an important part of building harmony in the Lodge.

Some people find that there is little or no decorum and ceremony in modern life, and that Freemasonry provides it.
